DELE: Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language

dele mexico

The Dele is the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish language that is issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport of Spain. The Dele is for citizens of a country where Spanish is not the official language. There are three different levels one can pursue.

  • Intermediate Level – Requires a sufficient knowledge of the Spanish language to handle situations that require an elementary level of the language.
  • High-Intermediate Level – Requires a necessary knowledge of the language to allow communication in everyday situations that do not require specialized terms.
  • Superior Level - Requires an advanced knowledge of the Spanish language in order to communicate in all situations, as well as an advanced knowledge of Spanish culture.
