Medical Spanish Program
Our Medical Spanish Program is designed to give medical professionals a broad base in the Spanish language with built-in medical vocabulary components. The program emphasizes communication (largely oral) so that practitioners are able to evaluate patient symptoms and explain treatments directly.
This program consists of the following:
9am - 12pm
Mon - Fri |
Formal Spanish classes,
focusing on development of the 4 language abilities. |
12pm - 1pm
Mon - Fri |
Conversation hour focusing on medicine. |
One hour per day
Mon - Thu (afternoon) |
Intercambio language exchange. |
Two hours per day
Mon - Thu (afternoon) |
Conversation workshop focusing on Medicine. |
There will be 2 visits per week to local clinics, and 1 visit to a traditional medicine practitioner in the second week of the program. N.B.
Traditional medicine is an important part of Oaxacan culture.
